The Community Development Department consists of four divisions. The Building Division has the responsibility for providing services to the building community. The Planning & Zoning Division has the responsibility of providing land use and development services. The Economic Development Division provides assistance to businesses getting started, expanding, or relocating to Payson. Town Business Licenses are now handled by the Finance Department.

The main goal of the Community Development Department is to assist with the building of a safe, attractive community with a vibrant economic component.

We recommend that you involve the Payson Community Development Department in the initial planning of your project to avoid unnecessary and perhaps costly surprises along the way.
