The Payson Fire Department is committed to education & training for our community. The department teaches a variety of classes at the fire station, & through partnerships with Gila Community College, Mogollon Health Alliance, & the Banner Payson Medical Center.

CPR Classes should be requested through the Payson Fire Dept. 472-5120. Classes are scheduled with Mogollon Health Alliance. Gila Community College also teaches CPR classes. Advanced CPR is taught at either the Fire Department or Payson Regional Medical Center.

EMT classes are taught at Gila Community College by our own firefighters.

Gila Community College offers a Fire Science Program with lots of different courses to choose from and the college dean will help plan a curriculum if a person wants to get a degree.
