What cannot be used as a short-term rental?
The use of structures not approved as a dwelling unit; unsafe structures (garage, shed, etc.) that do not meet Uniform Residential or Building Code standards as adopted by the City
Apartment complexes of 5 or more unit
Recreational Vehicles (RV’s) or Travel Trailers
Temporary structures such as tents or inflatable dome tents
Is contact information confidential?
All contact information submitted in the permit application for the property owner, the property owner's designee and the emergency contact person will be public information, available through a public records request to the Town Clerk's Office.
Can a home be used as a short-term rental if there is a homeowners association (HOA)?
Only if the HOA rules allow for rentals of less than 30 days – the host should check the HOA rules. The town does not enforce or have copies of HOA rules.
How often do I need to renew my permit?
Permits must be renewed every year.
